Day Trip to Roadies Rostel Leisure ARC.

The much-anticipated school picnic for Class I-III students of Shanti Asiatic School was to the thrilling Roadies Rostel. It was a day filled with adventure, learning, and fun for the young minds, offering them a break from the routine academic environment. Activities at Roadies Rostel provided a diverse range of engaging activities perfectly suited for their age and energy levels. The children actively participated in various adventure games that tested their agility, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Activities like obstacle courses and team- building exercises promoted camaraderie among the students. Amidst all the activities, a picnic lunch was organized, allowing the children to recharge and bond over delicious food in the picturesque surroundings. Students enjoyed music and dance in the discotheque. The hands-on experiences offered at Roadies Rostel provided a perfect balance of adventure and education, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds. Moreover, the impeccable organization and supervision by the school faculty and Roadies Rostel staff ensured the safety and well-being of the children throughout the day. The event not only served as a fun-filled outing but also as a platform for holistic learning outside the classroom.

Dev’s Camp

To give new experiences to our students, Shanti Asiatic School had arranged an adventurous trip of three days and two nights at Dev’s Camp, Panchmahal district, Gujarat recently.
The Adventure camp was a great learning experience where students discovered and rediscovered their passion, went beyond their limitations and approached risk gracefully. This camp was a combination of fun filled games and life skills activities which made learning experience richer, joyful and rewarding.

An excursion to Panchgani

A journey is best measured in Friends rather than Miles
Our students of classes IV-VI made an adventurous excursion to Panchgani ; along with their friends and teachers .. The trip was both thrilling and exploratory with activities such as Rock Climbing, Rapelling, Caving, Zip Lining and Rope Course

The breathtaking sunrise, sunset, forest and table top views brought the students closer to the beauty of nature…The pollution free atmosphere, crisp- cool breeze and night sky filled with bright shining stars left the students spellbound.

Each moment the pupils spent in the cradle of nature must have certainly left an idelible impression on their little minds- experiences which will be cherished and fondly remembered by the students for a long time!!

Class I

Field trip was organized to Sundervan Nature Park. Students explored nature by watching and learning about different species of birds, reptiles, fishes, etc. They were astonished to learn about different characteristics of various species of animals.

Class II

Field trip was organized to Science City "Aquatic Gallery" in order to spark one's observation and curiosity skill. The students got a glimpse of around 188 species of fishes and total of 11600 fishes under one roof along with fishes divided into different zones like Indian zone, Asian zone, African zone etc. viewing the underwater life forms.

Class III

Field trip was organized to Science City "Aquatic Gallery. The children were taken to splendid Aquatic Gallery where they got to see the theme ‘Marine Life’ which brought in lots of excitement, amusement, curiosity, and fun among the children. Children learnt that different creatures need specific conditions to survive and thrive. The field tip to Science City quenched the thirst for knowledge in various domains of life be it planet earth or knowing the aquatic life and the wonderful nature. The children learnt with fun and real life connections.

Class IV

Field trip was organized to Gandhi Ashram The purpose to take students to Gandhi ashram was that they learn history of Gandhi, freedom struggle and to educate them in the great philosophies, values and teachings of Gandhi. All the students were excited to explore the museum. There students saw houses artefacts, photographs, and documents related to Gandhi’s life, including his personal belongings and letters. These exhibits offer a glimpse into the life and philosophies of one of the world’s most influential leaders. The students very well understood and enjoyed every part of the explanation there.

Class V

A field trip to Sardar Patel Museum was planned with an aim to get more knowledge about freedom fighters and their contribution in achieving freedom to our country. It was really an amazing experience for students to witness and go back in the older days. They were thrilled and wanted to know more about them. The students were encouraged to ask questions to persons of the museum. The students left the museum with a thought that a great price was paid to get the freedom and we all should be a proud citizen of our Country-India.

Class VI

Students went for a field trip to Havmor Ice-cream factory with an aim to get more knowledge about the manufacturing unit of the ice-cream factory, waste management and strategic awareness of the segregation of the waste. The mission of the trip was to get familiar with the working of ice-cream factory and waste management strategies of Havmor ice-cream company along NEPRA.

Class VII

Field trip was organized to Centre of environment education (CEE). They provided students very interesting information regarding nature and its habitats. They also taught them various techniques to mimic sounds of various birds. Each and every details observed made them understand and appreciate the bounty and its beauty. This 45 minutes’ trail in the nature park, gave an opportunity to students to explore every part of the nature including those which are not accessible to the general public. Each moment spent on this nature trail was definitely a life-changing experience that left everyone with an urge to spend more time with nature, just observing its nitty-gritties and widening the horizon of our senses, for sense perception has valid lessons for all of us.

Class VIII

Field Trip was organized to Science City (Coal Mine and 4D Theatre). In Coal mine, the guide explained the machines which create and process coal. Students got thorough knowledge of the process of how coal was made. 4D Experience was done through a ride with water and air like real experiences. It was fun to experience this joyous trip.

The company has evolved an integrated and sustainable model for converting waste into clean energy, resulting in improved air quality, healthier people, and a cleaner and greener nation. Students learned the importance of sustainable energy and its importance for maintaining a cleaner and greener world. The engineers of the company explained the different process through which solid waste is converted into clean energy.

Class XI- Commerce

Visit to Wagh Bakri Tea Factory was organized to provide information about manufacturing process and trading business of renowned tea brand. Also to provide the detailed information of all four P’s of Marketing i.e, Price, Place, Product and promotion which is part of business studies subject. The organization to show storage place and automatic technology used to place the raw material in racks. The filtering of tea powder and mixture of different brands of tea to prepare a Wagh Bakri tea recipe area and packaging area where shown to the students and detailed explanation was also given. The premix category of the factory was shown with detailed process of manufacturing till packaging.

Field Trip was organized to CEPT University which focuses on understanding, designing, planning, constructing and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs build thoughtful professionals and its research programs deepen understanding of human settlements. CEPT University also undertakes advisory projects to further the goal of making habitats more liveable.

Class XII - Commerce

Visit to Entrepreneurship Development Institute was scheduled to provide information to students of start-ups and skills required for the same also, to provide the detailed information of courses offered by the institute. The difference between Nature and Nurture of skills and competencies was given by conducting Psychometric test with relevant questions. Students gave the test with full enthusiasm and paid attention to the analysis of the test. The test results and interpretation made students to realize the inbuilt qualities to become an Entrepreneur and the competencies required to inculcate.

Class XII -Humanities

Shanti Asiatic School organized an educational visit to Heritage Walk. The main objective behind this visit was to make students aware about the heritage structures, recent developments in the field of Smart cities and accommodating them with the latest concepts of Green Buildings. The students were given information about the city of Ahmedabad which is endowed with a rich architectural heritage that is vital to the local identity and continuity of the place.

With the view to encourage, popularize and inculcate scientific temper among children a field trip was organized. The trip was planned for following purposes:

  • To provide first hand experience,
  • To stimulate interest and motivation in science,
  • To add relevance to learning and interrelationships,
  • To strengthen observation and perception skills, and
  • To promote personal (social) development.

The trip was fruitful and provided lot of information to the students

Class : XII Science - PCM

Western India Institute of Aeronautics is located at Ahmedabad. It was established to cater the expected growth of Indian aviation and to fulfil demand of skilled and trained Aircraft maintenance professionals to the airline industry. It provides training in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. The students were taken into their workshop and informed about different parts of a plane and how they work and they were also given a chance to see minutely all kinds of Engines and how they function too. They discussed that Air Charter Operational wing of Indian Aviation Industry & Indus Institute of Technology & Engineering (IITE),a world class Engineering & Management Educational Group. WIIA has facility for On-Job-Training at its campus.

Global Immersion Program in Malaysia -2023-2024

Program Date: Friday, January 26 to Thursday, February 1, 2024. (6 Nights/7 Days)

Destination: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Tours Organizers: UAS International Group of companies

Tours Participants: 22 Students and 2 Staff Members accompanied by two Tour Organizers.

Places visited by the group:

  1. City Palace-the residence of current Sultan of Malaysia followed by the Independence Square- a freedom fighters’ memorial, just near the Palace.
  2. The PETRONAS towers – an interlinked pair of 88 storey skyscrapers standing at 451 meters. The group had a breathtaking view of the city skyline from the observation deck at the 86th floor which was a sheer excitement.
  3. Genting Highlands- the Cable car ride experience was mesmerizing as the Genting highland is situated at an altitude and It was just like travelling among the clouds looking at the beautiful valleys with rain forests below.
  4. ‘Batu Caves’- a prominent heritage site and a popular Hindu shrine outside India that encloses series of lime stone caves with Hindu temples
  5. Royal Selangor Pewter factory- a unit manufacturing artefacts, monuments from the metal alloys, followed by the popular Pettaling Street, Central Market and the Berjaya Times Square.
  6. ‘Jadi Batek- a fabric painting unit making beautiful hand crafted fabric designs and Cocoa Boutique- a Chocolate factory outlet.
  7. Bursa Malaysia Stock Exchange, where lectures were arranged on topics like investment options, Forex, Current Economy etc. by the Bursa Authorities.
  8. Segi College- The Principal of the college welcomed the group and the faculties oriented the students on the different subjects offered at the college. Each participant was awarded with a certificate for completion of Visit to the Royal Selangor Pewter factory unit.

The team enjoyed the program and developed good bonding with each other. They learned to handle foreign currency with the exchange rates against the Indian rupee.

All in all, it was a learning experience for them to manage things independently!

Visit to Singapore and Malaysia

A Trip To Remember!

14 students and 4 staff members were on an educational and sightseeing trip to Singapore and Malaysia.

The students appreciated Singapore for the multicultural society. The city enjoys a clean and green environment and a well connected transport system. The students visited the Science Centre, Juron Park, Sentosa Island, Singapore Night Safari, any many other places.

The students visited the Indian Global School and CHIJ at Singapore. Here the students interacted with the Singaporean and Indian students. They exchanged notes on academic and cultural front. It was an enriching experience for the students and the staff. The students of SAS were appreciated for their conduct, smartness and behavior. The students were mesmerized by the infrastructure, technology, discipline, cleanliness and progress of these countries.. They vowed to follow the same.
