IT Week 2018

IT lets people be creative and productive. It lets them learn things they didn’t think they could learn before.
We live in a time of technological change that is unprecedented in its pace, scope and depth of impact. Technological change and innovation needs to be directed towards inclusive and sustainable outcomes through a purposeful effort by government, in collaboration with civil society, business and academia.
To make our students appreciate and recognize the importance of Information Technology in our life, an IT week was held at SAS campus in the month of November 2018. A wide range of activities and competitions were held from Classes I – XII with an aim to merge fun with learning and also understand the importance of technology. It also enabled the students to use technology in a positive way. The various activities and competitions conducted were as follows:
• Mouse Trap – Class I
• Speak Out – Class II
• Festivals & MS Paint – Class III
• Design Your Logo – Class IV
• Who’s Got the Game? – Class V
• Healthify Me – Class VI
• Quiz Time – VII – VIII and IX – X.
• Be Cyber Safe –To throw light on Cyber Safety, a Workshop was conducted for students of Classes VI – IX The resource person was Mr. Rajeshkhar Murthy, Director (Ethics and Integrity), Information Sharing and Analysis Centre, New Delhi.
Overall the IT week was an effort, to make the young generation realize that they need to get smartly equipped with technology, choose wisely and use it in a way that it benefits not only them but also the people around them!
