“You are not disabled by the disabilities you have, you are able by the abilities you have” – Oscar Pistorius
Selected girls from Shanti Asiatic School visited the Blind People Association, Vastrapur under Prayaas. The girls tied Rakhies and offered sweets to them which made the occasion auspicious and sentimental. Our students interacted with children who are Physcially challenged, mentally retarded and have low vision.

Students visited Gurudwara on as a part of ‘Prayas’ to get exposure of the culture and religious values of the Sikh community. The students were explained the importance of the teachings of Guru Nanak. Students also rendered their Sewa ( selfless service ) by cleaning the floors of Gurudwara , arranging the sheets , arranging shoes in the rack, etc.
An overall amazing experience for students.
As a part of ‘PRAYAAS’ this year Shanti Asiatic School has organised special exhibition cum Rakhi Sale whereby girls of Andh Kanya Prakash Gruh exhibited their Rakhi for sale at the School Campus. Students from classes VI to X were encouraged to participate in this noble cause for helping those girls by buying Rakhi’s made by them.
These activity and efforts helped these girls to build relationship gaining Self-Confidence and Self-esteem to work for themselves.
Through this Prayaas Shanti Asiatic School gives them moral support, expressing heartfelt humility and respect.
